Elf Maleficent Palette

So this is a very late review on the Maleficent Elf palette. A Sinister Smoky eye and face makeup palette for the villainous beauty in you. Who doesn't want to have those gorgeous smokies which make these villains so alluring?

Elf put out three different palettes featuring three different Disney villains for Halloween.  First, the Evil Queen from Snow White. Second Cruella Deville from 100 Dalmatians. And last, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

These palettes focus on a day to night look. Eight eye shadows, one primer, two lip/cheek stains, one pair of fake eyelashes, an eyelash glue, and glitter eye liner. Along with step by step instructions on how to achieve these looks.

Each shadow is very pigmented and incredibly gorgeous! The cheek/lip stain works well as lip liner. However, using it as blush or "cheek stain" is difficult.  I find myself rubbing or "blending" the line for about 5 minutes and honestly it's just not worth the trouble. The eye primer was also a disappointment, it didn't prolong the eye shadows as much as I was expecting. But for $10.00 this is a great palette.

Hair bow find!

So as a hair obsesser I find myself craving new hair items. For the past few months I've been wanting hair bows. Not the little baby ones, the big ones that go on the back of your head. A little vague I know but I don't know how else to describe them.

So I saw these cute bows online at American Apparel. I was so happy... until i looked at the price $14-$20 just for just 1 hair bow! Then I wondered if Claire's sold any. After fighting through some pink glitter and feathers TA-DAA! I found a cute big black bow for $4.50. Still a little pricey but better than $14 and personally I like the Claire's one better. Hope this helps all you other hair obsessers like me.

Marc Anthony easy-lites

So I recently watched the SecretLifeofaBioNerd on YouTube. She talks about the  Marc Anthony easy-lites spray. This product is suppose to lighten your hair by spraying then flat ironing.
I saw her results and immediately headed to my nearest CVS. So far I've used this product three times and I have come to terms with the results. (when i say three times, I mean three different days with constant spraying and flat ironing for about 10 minutes. Not good for the hair I know but I'm an impatient girl haha)

Yes it does lighten your hair but it's very slight. It's not as dramatic as the pictures on the box. I've also discovered it mainly works on already lightened hair. So if you've ombre'd your hair or you're a blonde you're in luck. Unfortunately for us brunettes there's not much of a difference.
